America 250: America250 is the national nonpartisan organization charged by Congress to engage every American in celebrating and commemorating the 250th anniversary of our country. This multi-year effort, from now through July 4, 2026, is an opportunity to pause and reflect on our nation’s past, honor the contributions of all Americans, and look ahead toward the future we want to create for the next generation and beyond.

Prayers & Proclamations: These public prayers and proclamations not only encourage reflection on the past, but invite the current generation to consider the indispensable role of faith in sustaining civic life, moral order, and national purpose as we prepare to usher in the next 250 years of American greatness. Today, countless faith communities continue the tradition of coming together to pray for our nation. This compilation of prayers throughout America’s history is intended to serve as a resource for encouragement, unity, and prayer to Americans of faith.
Salute to America 250 Task Force: On July 4, 2026, America will celebrate the most important milestone in our country’s history—250 years of American Independence. “With a single sheet of parchment and 56 signatures, America began the greatest political journey in human history,” said President Trump of this momentous anniversary.
The Great American State Fair: Freedom 250: Great American State Fair is a 16-day national exposition running from June 25 through July 10, 2026, spanning from the U.S. Capitol to the Washington Monument. The celebration will unite and showcase all 56 U.S. states and territories in a single World’s Fair-scale event. This is an opportunity for visitors from across America to experience an unforgettable celebration of the people and traditions that define our nation. Our nation unites diverse states and territories to form the strongest country in the world.This once-in-a-generation celebration will feature live music, carnival rides, and dozens of hands-on partner activations, where visitors can taste, touch, and experience what makes each state and territory unique.
Department of State: America 250: The Story of America Video: This history series tells the remarkable story of American Independence. It will highlight the stories of the crucial characters and events that resulted in a small rag-tag army defeating the mightiest empire in the world and establishing the greatest republic ever to exist. This is the story of America. This is our shared heritage and our proud destiny that will continue to lead us to unimaginable achievements in the centuries to come.
Department of the Interior: America 250: The Department of the Interior, in coordination with the Freedom 250 commission and the White House, has begun highlighting and restoring historic sites, and paying tribute to figures that have defined American Greatness and contributed to our national heritage. Over the next five years the Department plans to activate over $345 million to preserve and restore America’s most historic places.

The Hillsdale Online Course Catalog: Hillsdale College was founded in 1844 with a mission to provide “all who wish to learn” the education necessary to preserve the civil and religious liberties of America.
